KHYBER: Assistant Commissioner (AC)Landi Kotal paid a visit to District Headquarter(DHQ) hospital,Landi Kotal and looked at the arrangements set up for the treatment of dengue patients. As per information provided by Niamat Afridi, a spokesperson of malaria and dengue, so far 211 dengue positive cases have been detected in Landi Kotal among these 121 have recovered while 90 are active and so far one patient has died of the disease. The sub divisional administrative officer, Irshad Mohmand inspected Outdoor Patients Department (OPD), Laboratory, ward specialized for dengue patients-rays machine and other facilities placed for the ailing segments of the society. Speaking on the occasion he called upon the health officials to facilitate the visiting patients and provide every possible ease to them. No negligence will be tolerated in curing dengue and general patients and urged to adopt all necessary initiatives to ensure hundred percent presence of health staff on their duties, he added.
