Chief Traffic Officer Peshawar Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat Sunday made a surprise visit to different areas of the city to review the flow of traffic on the occasion of by-elections here.
During the visit, SP Headquarters Rahim Hussain, DSP Headquarters Zahoor Khan and other traffic officials were also with him. Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat also reviewed the traffic system and issued instructions to traffic police officials on the spot to ensure uninterrupted traffic during the ongoing by-polls.
Traffic officials and Police officials should ensure the flow of traffic and do not allow rush at any place, the Chief Traffic Officer directed the officials during his visit. City Traffic Police officials of Peshawar should monitor themselves at different places and review the traffic system, Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat said.
“Wherever there is a problem of traffic jams, steps should be taken to solve it immediately,” the Chief Traffic Officer told the officials. In case of urban rush, visit the social media sites of City Traffic Police Peshawar as the social media sites are updated every 15 minutes regarding the traffic system, he told the media men present on this occasion.
He said, City Traffic Police Peshawar’s FM Radio 88.6 also informs people about the traffic system of the city besides the officials present at their points would also guide them for ensuring uninterrupted traffic.

On the occasion of by-elections, the citizens should cooperate with the traffic police so that the traffic in the city is smooth and no one faces any travel problems, Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat said.
