PESHAWAR
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter secretary information Malik Amjad Afridi alleged the provincial government for utilizing government resources and machinery to support Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march, saying that despite financial crunches government resources are being used for political purposes.
He said that owing to financial issues the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was unable to pay public sector employees salaries and pensions on time but allegedly spent resources for its party’s long march.
Addressing a news conference here on Wednesday at the Peshawar Press Club (PPC) Amjad Afridi termed PTI’s long march against the incumbent government as an anti-state march and said that the provincial government should not indulge in the march which has been staged to gain some personal political interests.
“All expenses of the PTI chairman Imran Khan and his march are being borne by the provincial government,” he alleged.
The PTI government in the province did nothing for the welfare of its people but took loan after loan to run the affairs of the province, he added and said that spending resources of the province for its party protests and marches must be stopped.
Secretary Information PPP maintained that the nation has rejected the false narrative of this “fake Khan” who climbed on the container for his personal motives, adding that very soon PTI leadership will be made accountable for their alleged corruption and mis-governance.
He said that creating political instability to regain power was the only purpose of PTI chairman Imran but this dream would not come true.
“There are incidents of target killing, extortion, kidnapping for ransom and terrorism in the province but government has turn deaf ears towards them and engaged in preparations for the march, “ he added.
Amjad Afridi alleged that PTI leadership in Pakhtunkhwa was giving financial support to the terrorists in the form of bribes.
The PPP leader urged the government officials to not obey unlawful orders of the provincial government, adding that Imran Khan has brutally failed to mislead through his narrative.
He said that the political future of Imran Khan and his party is dark as his propaganda against the state institutions have been exposed before the public.
“Imran Khan wants to make the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and other state institutions controversial to weaken the country,” Afridi alleged.
