KHYBER: One person sustained injuries when a brawl erupted because of road mishap between taxi driver and custom preventive officials here at Nadra checkpoint, Torkham border on Tuesday. According to custom preventive official they carried out aerial firing to for their security and to disperse the people who gathered in front of their checkpoint in support of their local taxi driver to harm them. Following the events, the agitators stormed the check post and the officials halted routine work and ran for their lives, custom official said. As per the hospital sources a person identified as Khelwat Shah who received minor wounds during scuffle was discharged after giving him first aid. Official of the Landi Kotal police station while confirming the incident said that a heavy force of police rushed to the spot, adopted all necessary measures and brought the situation under control.
