Under the auspices of the Directorate General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inter Regional Kabaddi Challenge Cup has started in Mandan Park Bannu, in which teams from all seven divisions of KPare participating. In the opening match, DI Khan gave Swat Region 33 points.
On this occasion Deputy Director of Sports Operations Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Jamshed Baloch was the special guest along with Regional Sports Officer Banu Region Shafqatullah, District Sports Officer Adil Shah, Former Sports Officer Anwar Rasheed, Chairman of Provincial Kabaddi Association.
Main Pir Barkat Ali Shah, Sultan Bari, Admin Officer Irshad Khan, Shehryar Khan, Imranullah, Bilal, Tanveer Ahmed and other personalities were present. DI Khan, Bannu, Kohat, Peshawar in Inter-Regional Kabaddi Challenge Cup under the auspices of Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Mardan, Abbottabad and Swat region teams are participating, yesterday the opening match was played between DI Khan and Swat region which was very interesting and exciting, the players of both teams played well but DI Khan Two points at the end Swat region scored 33 points while DI Khan region scored 35 points.
On this occasion, Deputy Director Sports Jamshed Baloch said that the provincial government is paying full attention to traditional sports along with other sports, that is the reason why the sports department organized competitions to highlight traditional sports in all the districts last year. And God willing, traditional games will be held this year as well. He said that there is enough kabaddi talent in Bannu for the development of which the Directorate of Sports will play a full role.
