WAPDA issues position of inflows, outflows in rivers, barrages, dams

Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA) has issued the position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages on Tuesday morning.
According to a spokesperson of the authority inflows and outflows in River Indus at Tarbela was 18600 cusecs and 34000 cusecs while inflows and outflows in Kabul River at Nowshera was 8500 cusecs and 8500 cusecs while inflows and outflows in Kabul River at Khairabad Bridge was recorded at 15100 cusecs and 15100 cusecs.
Similarly, inflows and outflows in Jhelum River at Mangla 8300 cusecs and 20000 cusecs while inflows and outflows Chenab at Marala was 5300 cusecs and 2000 cusecs respectively.
Meanwhile, inflows and outflows in Jinnah Barrage at 45500 cusecs and 40500 cusecs while in Chashma, the inflows and outflows were 34900 cusecs and 39000 cusecs. In Taunsa (inflows 37700 cusecs and outflows 27700 cusecs), Guddu (inflows 31200 cusecs and outflows 22000 cusecs), Sukkur (inflows 27600 cusecs and outflows 11800 cusecs) Kotri (inflows 11200 cusecs and outflows 700 cusecs), Trimmu (inflows 5700 cusecs and outflow Nil cusecs while in Panjnad (inflows 6100 cusecs and outflows Nil cusecs) respectively.
Similarly, Tarbela dam was operating at level of 1490.50 feet against the minimum levels of 1398 feet, present level 1490.50 feet and maximum conservation level 1550 feet. Live storage on Tuesday morning was recorded 2.759 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1050 feet, present level 1119.35 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 0.770 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 638.15 feet, present level 641.20 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.044 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela, Jinnah and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
