PESHAWAR: The district administration arrested 38 shopkeepers in various parts of the provincial capital for overcharging. The officials visited bazaars in various parts of the metropolis and found 78 shopkeepers charging the customers more than the official rate lists. According to Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, the administrative officers in the provincial capital issue official price lists in vegetable and fruit markets on a daily basis and later the official price lists are implemented throughout Peshawar. Shafiullah Khan has ordered administrative officers to continuously inspect markets across Peshawar and directed legal action against those involved in overcharging. DLP Report
