MUZAFFARABAD
The Chairman of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, has announced that a protest will be held in Muzaffarabad on February 15 against the Indian atrocities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Uzair Ahmad Ghazali in a statement issued in Muzaffarabad said that UN Security Council member States and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) immediately stop all unconstitutional, undemocratic and inhuman actions of the Indian government in the occupied territory.
He stated that the protest will be organized on the call of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, adding that people of Muzaffarabad will gather at Burhan Wani Chowk and hold a sit-in against the imperialist measures of the Indian government in IIOJK.
Vice Chairman Usman Ali Hashim in his statement said India has adopted Israeli behavior by taking the lands of Kashmiri people in the name of anti-encroachments, “Narendra Modi gang uses heavy machinery as a weapon to demolish private properties and other structures.
He said that Bharatiya Janata Party is evicting Kashmiri citizens from their lands through its forces and under these circumstances, the role of the government of Azad Kashmir, political parties, religious parties, civil society and especially the youth has become very important” he added.
He informed that the protest will start at 9:00am to draw the international community’s attention to Modi’s worst war crimes and appealed to the masses to join the protest and express solidarity with their brethren of IIOJK.
Meanwhile, in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has appealed to the Kashmiri people to observe a complete strike on February 15, Wednesday, against the anti-Kashmir policies of the Modi-led fascist Indian government.
The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Jammu and Kashmir is ours and its protection is our responsibility.” He said that India, under a planned conspiracy, is trying to erase the identity of the Kashmiri people by taking away their properties and lands.
He said by taking away all the basic rights of the people of IIOJK, they are being pushed to the worst political slavery. He said the land of Jammu and Kashmir is the property of the people and it is the duty of all Kashmiris to protect it. The identity of Kashmiris is being snatched by settling non-Kashmiris, he lamented.
The spokesman said that on August 5, 2019, the Modi government had repealed the special status of IIOJK by canceling Article 370 and 35-A. Now the authorities have started a campaign on large scale to seize Auqaf and commercial land in the territory. Through all these measures, the Muslim majority in Kashmir is being converted into a minority, he lamented.
