Provincial Vice Chairperson, Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), Dr Faiza Rasheed has termed the Jail Bharo Tehrik (Court arrest movement) a political hoax and height of hypocrisy.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, she said that on one hand threatening to launch Jail Bharo Tehrik in protest against delay in the announcement of elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while on the other hand they are getting bail before arrest from the courts.
She said that if Imran Khan is really so sincere, then being a nominee in dozens of First Information Reports (FIRs), why is he not offering unconditional arrest to allow national institutions to move forward as the constitution of the country.
Dr Faiza Rasheed termed the announcement of the dates for elections in Punjab and KP as surprising and questioned the President of Pakistan taking those acts, which are not under his ambit of powers. She urged the President to instead of proving himself as a member of the PTI affiliated Tiger Force to take into consideration his constitutional objections.
