Pakhtunkhwa Radio Kohat organizes “Multilingual Mushaera” on International Mother Languages Day

Pakhtunkhwa Radio Kohat organized “Multilingual Mushaera” (Poetry) on eve of International Mother Languages Day which was participated by the Pashto, Urdu and Hindko poets of Kohat Region. Station Manager Irshad Muhammad Afridi also attended, specially participated. Well-known Writer and Radio Compare Feroze Khan Sadiq presided over the event and Abasin Khan Mohmand was the Producer of the program, on Wednesday.
On this occasion, Irshad Afridi while welcoming the participants thanked them. He said that this shows their love to mother languages. He said that such events would be arranged in future also and they would be invited again.
Dr. Shakir Orakzai on this occasion said that establishment of Pakhtunkhwa Radio FM 92.4 in Kohat was a good omen.
He appreciated the management of Radio for arranging a Multilingual Mushaera on Mother Languages Day. He added that the day was meant to save all spoken languages from extinction loss of language finish the origin of a region. Abasin Mohmand said that giving rights to all regional languages in accordance with the United Nations Charter was the need of the hour.
Syed Masoom Shah Masoom said that we love all the languages spoken in the world because all these languages belong to human beings. He demanded equal rights to all regional languages.
Through a telephonic message, Professor Dr. Abbasin Yousafzai said that the children should be educated in their mother languages for development and self-reliance. He also presented examples of many countries who got education in their mother languages.
The Multilingual Mushaera was attended by the renowned poets including Prof. Dr. Abbasin Yousafzai, Dr. Shakir Orakzai, Feroze Khan Sadiq, Rahim Khan Majroh, Muhammad Jan Atif, Syed Masoom Shah Masoom, Akhtar Ullah Orakzai, Abbasin Momindar and Muhammad Sarwar Mahmood Khattak.
