PESHAWAR: A copy of an alleged short tender notice, inviting quotations for food arrangement at a meeting of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, is making rounds on social media. The notice has caught the attention of netizens on account of the long list of different meals that are to be served at the meeting. Dozens of quotations for the arrangement of food at the meeting for VIPs and general public were invited from different reputed firms. According to the notice, the meeting of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will be held at Auqaf Office, Eidgah, Charsadda Road, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on March 22, 2023. Rice, dum pukh, beef rice, mixed vegetables, Russian salad, halwa, and cold drinks are on the menu for the VIPs. Beef rice, chicken curry, mixed vegetables, naan, and cold drinks are on the menu for the general public. A special tea reception will also be organised during the meeting. Meanwhile, KP caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs and Information Barrister Feroze Jamal Shah Kakakhel has taken notice of the tender. DNA
