PESHAWAR: The Banamani Police on Sunday foiled an attempt to smuggle arms during an important operation. According to SHO Bhanamani Mudassar Hayat said that the arrested person has been identified as Umar Khan resident of Gulabad area of the provincial metropolis. Mr Hayat claimed that the arrest was made during a crackdown on criminals in the limits of the police station. Police have recovered 35 pistols from the vehicle. A case has been registered against the accused involved in illegal arms smuggling and investigation has been started from various angles. Crime Reporter
