A man who went to Iran in 1971 and since then had no contact with his family, reunited the other day with his nears and dears in Usherai Darra of Upper Dir district after a linkage through social media some days back.
His family member Ehsan while talking to local media said, Mumtaz Khan, alias Multanay was missing for the last 53 years and they had no clue about his whereabouts. Some days back,he said they had contact with Mumtaz Khan through a social media platform and were astonished to see that Mumtaz Khan was still alive and living in Iran.
Arrangements were made for his return to native village, following which Mumtaz Khan was able to reunite with his family after a long period of 53 years.
An atmosphere of jubilation prevailed in the area on Mumtaz Khan’s arrival to home as a large number of local people and relatives came out to see and welcome him. The people presented garlands and felicitated Mumtaz Khan on his return to home.
The jubilant Mumtaz Khan said he had even forgotten the sketches of his relatives and village. He said everything has changed in the village adding he could not describe his feeling after reuniting with his family.
