Amun Taraqqi Party has announced it will soon launch a mass contact campaign throughout the country.
ATP will fully participate in the upcoming general elections, says Muhammad Faiq Shah, the party head while chairing a meeting of the party’s central executive committee here on Monday.
He asked the divisional and central organisations to expedite a door to door campaign and convey the ATP manifesto and vision to people.
Shah said the party has decided to field its candidates in provincial and national assemblies.
He called upon the competent people, youth and all those who have knowledge about the prevailing political scenario and ability to overcome it they should become part of the ATP political and awareness movement.
Faiq while commenting on the emerging political party, saying that it is not the solution of the country’s problems as these old faces had failed to deliver the people and now they cannot be fooled by such tactics.
He said the ‘tug of war’ for gaining powers has destroyed society and politics in the country.
Economic recession has pawned in all federating units, including Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, Shah said.
He said the price-hike has touched a new peak in the country.
Purchasing power of the common man is diminished, he added.
In the prevailing scenario, he said a large number of talented and educated youth were leaving the country.
Faiq went on to say that crisis after crisis has brought stagnation in every sector.
He maintained non-democratic culture was fostered while political parties have failed to bring political awareness and change in their ranks.
He once again demanded the formation of a joint board of wisdom and honesty to make joint decisions and frame sustainable policies to bring political and economic stability in the country.
Shah assured his party will be ready to cooperate with all institutions and relevant stakeholders in this regard.
He said that a comprehensive sketch has already been proposed to the government and relevant institutions.
If our party’s conceived plan/strategy is implemented with true spirit, change will definitely come in the country, he added.
