In a visit to Keti Bandar to assess the precautionary measures taken by the district government ahead of Cyclone Bayper Joy, Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, assured the public that the government remains committed to the well-being of the coastal population. The Chief Minister highlighted the comprehensive efforts being undertaken by various government departments to evacuate and provide essential support to the affected individuals.
Emphasizing the government’s dedication to safeguarding lives and property, CM Murad Ali Shah directed the district administration and relevant agencies to ensure the safe relocation of residents residing along the coastal belt and its surrounding areas to secure locations. He further instructed officials to ensure the provision of food and all necessary facilities to the affected population.
During a conversation with media representatives, CM Murad Ali Shah reiterated the government’s commitment to leaving no one behind or without assistance during such critical circumstances. He assured the public that the situation would be handled with sensitivity, ensuring that individuals are not forced to abandon their homes against their will.
CM Murad Ali Shah underscored the government’s responsibility to relocate people to safe places and provide them with the necessary conveniences. He appealed to the public to cooperate and prioritize their safety by moving to secure locations, emphasizing that this collective effort would save valuable lives.
The Chief Minister’s visit was attended by key officials including Provincial Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Provincial Advisor for Relief and Rehabilitation Haji Rasool Bakhsh Chandio, MPA Haji Ali Hassan Zardari, Special Assistants Sadique Ali Memon, Chief Secretary Sindh Dr. Suhail Rajput, Director General PDMA Salman Shah, Commander Pakistan Navy Javad, Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Bilal Ahmed Memom, Deputy Commissioner Thatta Ghulam Farooq Somro, SSP Adeel Hussain Chandio, and representatives from the Irrigation Department, Drainage, Public Health, and other relevant departments.
As part of his visit, CM Murad Ali Shah also conducted visits to the coastal areas of Sujawal and Badin districts, demonstrating the government’s proactive approach in ensuring the safety and well-being of coastal communities.
