KP Govt establishes 12 drugs rehabilitation centres: Spokesman

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governmenthas has established 11 drugs and narcotics rehabilitation centres in the province. These centres were setup at Mardan, Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kohat, Karak, Swabi, Swat, Malakabd and DI Khan districts. Its aimed was provision best treatment and psychological services to patients at their door steps, said spokesman of social welfare department while talking to APP on Monday. He said inclusive plan was chalked out to strengthen these rehabilitation centres in terms of equipment, medicines and healthcare services providers. Under the plan, numbers of beds at Peshawar Drugs and Narcotics Rehabilitation Centre would be increased to 500 from existing 120. He urged philanthropists to come forward and play role in rehabilitation of drugs victims. APP
