Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah has called for making sincere and concerted efforts to bring reforms to ensure transparency and fairness conduct of the general elections.
Shah said that real conquest has attached with public authority, economic super power and strong defence, terming personality, politics based on inheritance and ‘tug of war’ as major obstacles in this way that has halted consistency in democratic process.
Faiq while chairing a meeting of the central executive committee here on Monday at the party main office noted it was witnessed during the last 14 months that institutions, politicians and administration consistently had fallen prey to confrontation instead forging unity to pull the country out from the present crisis situation.
The ATP chairman opined that the country was miles away from economic progress, justice and public authority; that’s a major dilemma and alarming one for the whole nation.
Shah went on to say that democracy is the name of people’s justice and authority, but there is a specific segment imposed on governance again and again by changing face.
They have a single policy on how to enhance personal wealth, power and authority, the ATP chief noticed.
Shah observed that no political party has neither given priority to Pakistan nor its people, calling it a major vacuum, which is keeping away people in every election from parliament houses, which is a reason for people’s hatred for claimants of public representation.
Someone has become suffering from extremism and someone revenge and others disappointment, says Shah.
The party leader warned people would become rebels if the present electoral system couldn’t be altered forthwith.
Faiq remarked if reforms were brought with honesty then capable and competent people could lead the country from the front and Pakistan could gain its destination.
He said his party is struggling under similar ideology and objectives throughout the country, hoping that the movement will cause a public revolution and establishment of real democracy.
