The Provincial General Secretary of the Central Organization of Traders and the President of the Mardan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Zahir Shah has said that the traders have launched a war against the Deputy Director and the Assistant Director and the food staff Halal food for inappropriate behaviour and harassing them.
The demand the authorities to expelled deputy director and assistant director from the district, if they not expelled from district they will be forced to protest on the streets.
He was talking to media representatives yesterday. He said that the Deputy Director and Assistant Director of Halal Food Authority has become a headache for traders. The business community is the backbone of the country’s economy.
The Deputy Director and the Assistant Director have made life difficult for the businessmen with their pharaoh-tempered attitude and try to take the money from their mouths every day along with torture and force them to comply with illegal demands.
The imposition of taxes by the government has stopped the business of traders on one hand and on other the staff of the Halal Food Authority has started harassing the small traders which are absolute cruelty, after that, the business community can no longer be silent and hide.
The deputy director and the assistant director should be transferred immediately If the attempt to steal the money from the business community is not stopped, we will be forced to protest at the provincial level and all the traders will close cooperation and tax net with the Halal Food Authority.
Zahir Shah has strongly demanded the Caretaker Chief Minister Azam Khan, Governor Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali, Caretaker Minister for Food, Secretary and DG Food and other top officials that the law and order situation in Mardan is bad before bringing the traders to the streets, action should be taken against the Deputy Director and Assistant Director of the Halal Food Authority and they should be removed from the district and replaced by responsible staff.
