Minister visits KPEF, gets briefing on ongoing activities

Caretaker Minister for Higher Education and Law Justice Retired Irshad Qaiser on Tuesday visited the office of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Foundation (KPEF).
On this occasion, the caretaker provincial minister was briefed about the activities of the foundation.
She was briefed by senior officials of KPEF about their scholarships in-country and foreign scholarships under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) scholarships in Chinese universities.
Also informed about the HR Development (Training) activities of KPEF Academy at Kohat for faculty and administrative staff, both public and private sector details were also shared with the caretaker minister.
The caretaker provincial minister was told that the top 5 best students of every government college of the province are being given scholarships each year to the youth.
Justice Retired Irshad Qaiser was informed that KPEF works within its own financial resources after its inception and there is no annual budget line/contribution from the provincial government while all foundations working in other provinces contribute to their respective provincial governments.
Receives the annual budget line from The KPF requested the caretaker provincial minister for law and higher education, Justice Retired Irshad Qaiser, that annual budget lines will be introduced to the foundation to support its innovative/new schemes promoting higher education.
She was informed that higher educational institutions, industries and highly educated youth will benefit from mobile application “Jobson” especially for emerging sciences.
The Foundation has already launched/published its Android App on Google Play Store to harness the energies and talents of the educated youth domiciled in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The minister urged the officials concerned to continue facilitation services of students of the province in acquiring best education opportunities.
