12 names finalized for KP’s interim cabinet

After days of hectic deliberations, the names for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s interim cabinet have been finalized.
Muhammad Azam Khan-led interim government cabinet will initially consist of 12 members, according to people familiar with the matter.
The list of probable candidates for the interim setup in KP includes Dr. Sarfraz Ali Shah, Engineer Anjum Behrawar Khan, Muhammad Ashfaq, Justice (Retd) Arshad Qaisar, Dr. Riaz Anwar, Aamir Abdullah, Asif Rafiq Afridi, Engineer Amir Nadeem Durrani, Dr. Najeebullah, Mian Feroz Jamal Shah Kakakhel, Syed Masood Shah and Shoaib Khan.
The probable cabinet members will take the oath as ministers in the next couple of days.
Caretaker Chief Minister Azam Khan has been in his office for the last three days and has held several rounds of discussions with relevant authorities.
The final list was approved after discussion with KP Governor Haji Ghulam Ali.
Sources shared with this scribe on condition of anonymity that caretaker chief minister wanted to induct mostly technocrats in its cabinet, while a few more names are still being deliberated.
