ATC extends interim bail of Qureshi, Asad Umar

Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore has extended interim bail of Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, Fawad Chaudhry and sisters of chairman PTI Aleema and Uzma Khan till September 2 in May 9 vandalism case.
PTI leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Asad Umar filed interim bail pleas in ATC Lahore in the case of torching the police vehicles.
They appeared in the court on the expiry of interim bail period.
Judge Ijaz Ahmad Buttar heard the petition.
The petitioners took the plea Gulberg Police charged them with torching police vehicles on May 11. The allegation leveled in the case is baseless and false. Our arrest is feared in arson case. Therefore interim bail be granted for joining investigation.
Counsel for Fawad Chaudhry filed exemption plea for one hearing of former federal minister saying he could not appear in the court due to illness.
The court accepted exemption plea in respect of Fawad Chaudjry for one hearing.
The court extended interim bail of all the three former federal ministers.
Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan also appeared in the court.
The court extended their interim bail plea till September 02.
The court summoned the lawyers of petitioners on next hearing for arguments.
PTI leaders have filed bail pleas in the cases registered against them in connection with attacks on Jinnah House and Askari tower and May 9 incidents.
The court while issuing notice to police extended the interim bail of Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Asad Umar and adjourned the hearing of the case till September 02.
