According to a foreign news agency, this incident took place in Yuyu area of Shaanxi Province, China.
According to the local police, the 38-year-old man and 55-year-old woman were trying to make a shortcut by cutting a hole in the wall chain to reach their construction site.
They used an excavator to open a pre-existing hole in the great wall of china so that their machine could pass through.
