The 2nd death anniversary of a great humanitarian and well-known journalist Rahimullah Yusufzai, is being mourned today saturday.
One fails to find words to pay homage to such a great human being. God Al-Mighty had bestowed him many qualities of head & heart. His personality was full of all rich flavors ranging from tall handsome & attractive physique to fertile mind coupled with deep observation and great urge of helping the needy people.
e had contributed to society in so many ways. He was also best known for his service to humanity who always looked for an opportunity to work for the betterment of the people.
It is not possible for any writer to cover every aspect of his eventful purposeful life in one article. It was beyond any doubt that he was a world class top journalist & had won many national & international awards but the people of the area better knew him as a social worker.
So this year on his 2nd death anniversary only one aspect of his life i:e as a great “social worker” & his wonderful contribution in this field is being highlighted. Simple reason was that he was actively engaged for the welfare of the poor people of the area & never missed an opportunity of helping them.
He took time of his busy schedule & served the poor segment of the society to the best of his capability. For this purpose, he was in contact with many welfare organisations, philanthropists and personal friends and utilised its services for the well-being of poor and needy people.
No doubt, he had devoted whole life for helping the poor either through journalistic activities or social work. Inspite of round the clock journalistic activities & fragile health, coupled with multiple diseases, his speed of work in social sector was amazing. God helps those who help others.
“It gives me immense pleasure & mental comfort to come to the rescue of the needy & oppressed people” “believe me the only passion of my life is to mix up with the poor people and solve their issues” remarked by him on many occasion and he proved it through practical steps in the field.
This spirit was inherited by him via his Late father (R) Subidar Adam Khan, who was also a great social worker of his time & had completed many gigantic public service oriented projects in the area due to his sheer hard work. Infact his father was pioneer of such social activities in the area.
Even though his father faced many challenges and hardships, but he kept his mission continued and today everyone is remembering him in prayers in good words. Indeed every one of the area is indebted to the selfless social services of father & son. It is being said that from the nest of eagle, the son of eagle can emerge.
It also came true in Yusufzai’s family case and now the spirit of serving the humanity has been shifted to the 3rd generation of the extended Amir khel, Yusufzai family & the elder son of Rahimullah Yusufzai, Arshad Mehmood Yusufzai has taken upon this responsibility on his shoulder by following the sacred foot prints of his father & grand father.
Like father like son, Arshad Mehmood has every talent & guts to further take the mission of serving the poor community of the area. Now coming back to the real torch bearer and architect of the mission & great social worker Rahimullah Yusufzai, who gave new dimensions to it and during his life time has arranged, 99 mass weddings for poor orphan boys & girls along with one lakh dowry item for each one of nearby villages in his life time.
Similarly he also succeeded to get 116 wheel chairs from Akhowaat Foundation Lahore for disabled people of the nearby villagers. 20 more wheel chairs are in pipeline & are due in September.
He, with the help of Japan govt, had established a Kindergarten center at a cost of Rs. 8 million and so far more than 100 female have been trained in this center who are now earning livelihood for their respective families by making best use of the learned skills in this kindergarten.
Moreover, he with the help of the then governors, had established grid station, constructed Katlang Buner Road (both worth millions of Rupees) sanctioned Katlang Wapda Sub Division and many tube wells in the area.
Every year, he used to arrange winter kits for school going children and distribute it amongst poor students. 8350 pairs of shoes, thousands of socks etc, bath rooms drinking water facilities, electricity fans as well as chairs & desks are few to mention here.
Likewise every year he used to arrange “Parents Day” in Badar and Shamozai schools and bear all expenses of it from his own pocket and awarded students who excelled in different categories of competition.
He arranged various medical camps in the area in which 150 major surgeries were conducted. Renowned and Specialist Doctors treated patients in these camps.
Also arranged eye glasses for needy poor people from France, Germany and Italy govts.
Every year he used to distribute Ramazan packages amongst the poor needy people at large scale. He also sanctioned from the Prime Minister the provision of Suigas to 21 villages and works on it is in progress and will be completed very soon.
He also extended financial help to many newly constructed mosques and helped orphans, widows, disabled in shape of huge secret donation as well as helped in enlistment of several thousand unemployed jawans in different departments.
He also revived famous local sport “Makha” & arranged its tournaments every year by inviting sitting govt functionaries and dignitaries as special guests. The Secret to living is giving.
When one serve something greater one discover a deeper purpose and it gives more meaning to one’s life. Rahimullah Yusufzai, inspite of great fame and name led very simple and down to earth life and won hearts and minds of the people through his social work activities and matchless achievements in this field.
In order to pay homage to his meritorious rich social work activities on his 2nd death anniversary, the Shama Welfare Organisation (established by him in his life time) decided to arrange 10 mass marriages for the extremely poor families so as to provide succour & relief to his soul.
This is the best way to pay homage to a person who loved to serve humanity. The law of attraction states that we get back the energy we put into the world. What we contribute it gives real meaning to our lives.
He devoted his time, experience, money, talent and skills to help poor people and tried his best to create a better society. In nutshell he was a great Khuda-i-Khedmatgar of Baizai area and worked for the cause of poor with such devotion and honesty that he become the perfect metaphor for it.
Though Arshad Mehmood is too young to shoulder such a gigantic responsibility but when intentions are good & heart burn to serve the down trodden community then there is no reason not to achieve the desired goals.
The Amir Khel Yusufzai family are highly idebted to all friends and well-wishers as it would not be possible without their help to materialise the dream of serving the humanity.
The people of Biazai will always be proud of Rahimullah Yusufzai social welfare achievements. All the good deeds, he did in his life, will echo in the eternity. We miss you more and more as each day passes.
