Training program for Madrasa teachers, students held in Mardan

The provincial department for religious affairs organized a five-day training program for the teachers and students of madaris in district Mardan.
The overall aim of the program was to enhance personality development, social empowerment, employment guidance, effective expression, entrepreneurship, and inter-faith harmony.
Citizenship and personal & Social responsibilities, right to serve and vote, differences and mutual respect and search for commonalities, use of technology, importance of different vaccination and role of Ulema and other topics were discussed and leading scholars and experts of the country served in workshops and sessions for training teachers and students.
A five-day training program was organized at Darul Uloom Jamia Islamia Tafheem Al-Qur’an, Mardan. A simple and solemn ceremony was organized on the last day of the program. Maulana Yusuf Shah, chairman of Muttahida Ulema Board Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was the chief guest of the ceremony, while Chief Khatib Maulana Tayyab Qureshi, Additional Director General Health Dr. Ikramullah Khan, Additional Assistant Commissioner Baraq Awan Mardan and other guests, teachers and students were present.
Addressing the ceremony, the speakers highlighted the various aspects of the program and said that the importance of contemporary and modern technology along with religious studies cannot be denied.
These kinds of programs will help the students of madaris in global life. The Jaid scholars emphasized the importance of vaccination, immunization and population discipline in the light of the Islamic Ideological Council’s guidelines.
Mian Asjad, Monitoring Officer of the Auqaf and Religious Affairs department said that the provincial government is taking steps to make the students of religious madaris useful citizens and increase the capacity of students so that they can address employment and other social issues.
The department concerned is trying to provide scholarships and other facilities for students of Madaris, he said and added that despite limited resources, the department is taking more steps to bring madaris students into the mainstream.
Additional Director General Health Ikramullah Khan described the important role of scholars in vaccination and disease prevention.
Chief guest Maulana Yusuf Shah while addressing said that the Department of Religious Affairs appreciates the efforts and paid tribute to these initiatives.
Maulana Yusuf Shah further said that scholars have always sacrificed for the survival of Pakistan. At the end of the ceremony, training certificates were given to the teachers and students and commemorative shields to the guests.
