‘No compromise to be made on Hajj arrangements’

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has said no compromise will be made on Hajj arrangements to provide maximum facilitation to the intending pilgrims. He said this while chairing a meeting in Islamabad Monday regarding advance preparations for next year Hajj.
The Prime Minister directed Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Aneeq Ahmed and Secretary of the ministry to undertake Hajj preparation in advance. He decided to constitute a committee to review Hajj arrangements.
Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar also sought a detail report from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony regarding pilgrims’ complaints about Hajj 2023.
He instructed the ministries of Religious Affairs and Information Technology to construct a mobile application and website for the facilitation of Hujjaj to get their complaints registered.
During the meeting, the caretaker prime minister also asked the minister and the secretary to personally visit Saudi Arabia, supervise the arrangements for the upcoming Hajj 2024 and submit a comprehensive report in this regard.
The Prime Minister also directed to present a report regarding complaints about private tour operators with an instruction to constitute a reform committee to improve this system. He said strict monitoring of private tour operators should be ensured so that pilgrims of private Hajj Scheme will not face any difficulties.
The meeting was attended by Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs Aneeq Ahmed, secretary and other relevant authorities, PM Office Media Wing said in a press release.
