A day-long Anti-Narcotics awareness seminar with the collaboration of District Administration and Director Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa held here at Khyber Medical College Campus Dir Lower with large number of people from different walks of life attended.
Assistant Commissioner and Additional Assistant Commissioner Samarbagh and other senior officers addressed the seminar. On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Dir Lower Muhammad Fawad and Director Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Arshad Qayyum Barki, a One-Day Anti-Drug and Narcotics against use of ice, heroin and other dangerous drugs was held.
Assistant Commissioner Samarbagh Muhammad Sohail, Additional Assistant Commissioner Nouman Parvez, SDPO Circle Jandul Bakht Jamal Khan, Surgeon Dr. Inamullah, social personalities Maulana Imran, Akhtar Munir, Azharul Haque Durrani, Malik Hayat, Shah Zir Khan specially participated in the seminar.
Lecturer Fazal Shan, Imad Khan and Najibullah took the session on the selected topic from the seminar.
In the awareness seminar, detailed sessions were held on the financial and life, physical, social and mental harms of hashish, ice, heroin, narcotic injection and other addictive substances.
Assistant Commissioner Samarbagh Muhammad Sohail said that the struggle against hashish, heroin and other dangerous drugs is our national, moral and religious duty and in this regard, this type of seminar, awareness sessions, and awareness walk is very important.
Speaking at the seminar, social personalities Maulana Imran, Malik Hayat and Shah Zir Khan said that drug addiction is a scourge and the role of youth and students must be played to prevent it. He demanded action against those involved in the scourge of addiction.
At the end of the awareness seminar, District Youth Officer Malik Shehzad Tariq distributed honorary shields to the guests and certificates to the students and other participants.
