Local administration warns illegal Afghan families to leave Pakistan

Officials of the local administration warned the Afghan families, unlawfully resided in Landi Kotal, to leave Pakistan before Oct, 31, 2023.
It is worth mentioning here that the government has set November 1 as the deadline for all illegal immigrants including Afghan refugees to depart to their native country.
On Tuesday, Assistant Commissioner, Landi Kotal Irshad Mohmand flanked by tehsildar Temour Afridi and police officials visited different localities in the tehsil and asked the unlawful Afghan residents to repatriate to their country before expiring the deadline.
After the expiration time, they will be forcibly departed to Afghanistan via the Torkham border, the official cautioned.
He added that the government policy to repatriate all illegal immigrants would be implemented in word and spirit and no compromise would be made on it.
It is to be stated here that approximately 300-350 illegal Afghan families reside in a number of villages including Ash Khel, Mukhtar Khel, Gagra, Piro Khel, Shiekhmal Khel, Khyber etc.in Landi Kotal.
