Police launches crackdown against illegal Afghan families in Landi Kotal

The local police officials began a crackdown against illegal Afghan families, residing in various villages of Landi Kotal to leave the country or they would be forcibly repatriated and their moveable and immoveable properties will be confiscated as per law.
It is to be mentioned here that approximately 340 illegal Afghan families live in different localities of Landi Kotal.
The police official said that following expiring of deadline in the light of direction of highup, they comprised police teams who were assigned task to visit different village of Landi Kotal and warned the unlawful Afghanis to return back to their country.
“Those who would not follow their warning will be forcibly sent back to Afghanistan,” he added.
He went on that they would be taken to the Holding Center, Landi Kotal where from they would be deported via Torkham crossing after necessary documentation.
According to available sources for the last one month(01 October to 07 November)0.189259 million illegal Afghan families went back to their country, Afghanistan through the Torkham border.
