Army installs 3 turbines in Elm valley to fill KP’s electricity need

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps (FC) are taking steps to provide basic facilities to the people in remote areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Three hydroelectric turbines were installed in Elam Valley with the support of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. For seventy years, Pakistan Army has played a significant role in lighting the areas deprived of electricity. With the installation of hydroelectric turbine, uninterrupted power supply has started to 1500 houses in the area. The installation of a 150 KW hydroelectric turbine in Elm has started supplying electricity to 500 houses in Elm Clay and Sarkhapa Clay, a 200 KW hydroelectric turbine has started supplying electricity to 500 houses in Jobra Clay and Shen Dhand.
