ISLAMABAD: The cryptocurrency market remained positive for the second straight day on Friday, with the market capitalization gaining 1.5 percent to reach $1.49 trillion. As of 1245 hours GMT, the price of Bitcoin, the world’s oldest and most valued cryptocurrency, surged 1.3 percent in the last 24 hours to reach $37,901. The market capitalization of the biggest crypto has reached $741 billion with this increase. Bitcoin has been 4.2 percent up in the past seven days. Similarly, Ether (ETH), the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, gained 2.1 percent to reach $2,105. With this increase in price, the market capitalization of ETH has reached $253.2 billion. ETH has gained 7.2 percent of its value during the last seven days. This surge in Ethereum’s value was attributed to increased market interest following Fidelity’s expressed intent to pursue an Ethereum exchange-traded fund (ETF). TLTP
