PESHAWAR: The Secretary of the Livestock and Fisheries Department Dr Mohammad Israr conducted a visit to the Mansehra district to meet with Yasushi Hamamitsu, a fisheries expert from Japan involved in a JICA project. The meeting focused on updates regarding ongoing fisheries research and training activities in Mansehra. Also present were Zubair Ali, Director of Fisheries Planning and Development, and Faheem Akhtar, Deputy Director of Fisheries. As part of a mutual technical cooperation initiative between the KP Fisheries Department and JICA, the Japanese expert will provide training to local staff and fish farm owners in Hazara Division. The program includes reciprocal training for the Fisheries Department employees in Japan, aiming to modernize the province’s fisheries industry through this collaborative effort. DLP Report
