Asad Qaiser was sent to jail on fourteen days judicial custody

District and session judge Mardan, Muhammad Zaib sent former speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser on 14 days judicial remand to central jail Mardan, sources said.
Sources added that a joint team of Swabi and Charsadda police arrested Asad Qaiser from Swabi when he got bail in an anti-corruption case. Source added that Asad Qaiser was wanted by Charsadda and Swabi police in the 9th May incident.
Sources added that on Friday police produced Asad Qaiser in the district and session judge court.
Sources added that DSJ rejected the police’s request for the physical remand of former National Assembly speaker and sent him to jail on 14 days judicial remand in a case pertaining to violent protests in the country on May 9.
It may be noted that Asad Qaiser was arrested on Nov 3 at his Banigala residence on charges of causing losses to the national exchequer through procurement irregularities in the Gajju Khan Medical College.

On Thursday, he was granted bail by an anti-corruption court in the case.
Later on he was re-arrested from Swabi in a case pertaining to ransacking of the Charsadda Toll Plaza on the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway on 9th May.
