PESHAWAR: The National Highways and Motorway Police prides itself on being a corruption-free department, distinguishing it within law enforcement agencies. The Motorway Police maintains a robust system of accountability and vigilance, leaving no space for malfeasance or corruption. Recently, there were corruption complaints in certain areas of the South Zone. Responding promptly, the Special Vigilance Cell of the Motorway Police took action, submitting a report to Inspector General Sultan Ali Khowaja. In swift response, a high-level investigation committee, led by the Additional IG and comprising senior DIsG and officers, was formed. Those implicated in the complaints have been suspended, and a thorough investigation will result in appropriate punishment. Inspector General Sultan Ali Khowaja emphatically asserts that there is no place for corruption within the Motorway Police, and stringent actions will be taken against any individuals involved.
