ISLAMABAD
NAB has arrested former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry on the charges of corruption.
NAB said Fawad Chaudhry is accused in corruption and corrupt practices matters. Arrest warrants of Fawad Chaudhry were issued by NAB under section 24-A and consequently he has been arrested.
Fawad Chaudhry will be presented in the court so that inquiry against him could be initiated after his appearance in the court.
On the other hand NAB has obtained permission from District and Sessions Court Islamabad for including Fawad Chaudhry in investigation and compliance of his arrest warrants by him.
Court led by judicial magistrate Yasir Mehmood heard the case. NAB authorities and investigation officer appeared in the court.
NAB said Fawad Chaudhry is needed in connection with inquiry into corruption and misuse of powers charges. Charman NAB has issued arrest warrants of Fawad Chaudhry under section 24-A.
NAB requested the court Fawad Chaudhry is in the custody of judicial and court. Permission be given to get comply arrest warrants from Fawad Chaudhry.
The court allowed NAB to get comply arrest warrants from Fawad Chaudhry.
The court directed Superintendent Adiala jail to get comply NAB warrants from Fawad Chaudhry.
