ISLAMABAD
Federal Capital Police, while continuing effective operations against criminal elements, arrested 16 criminal elements including five professional beggars during the last 24 hours.
Marijuana, heroin, alcohol and weapons along with ammunition were recovered from the possession of the arrested accused. Cases have been registered against the accused in different police stations and further investigation is ongoing.
According to the details, the Islamabad Police is carrying out indiscriminate operations against the criminal elements throughout the district.
During the last 24 hours, the Islamabad Police arrested 16 criminal elements, including five professional beggars, during various legal operations.
Kohsar Police Station arrested the accused Sami Ur Rahman and recovered a twelve bore rifle with ammunition from his possession.
Ramna police station arrested the accused Hasnain Javed and recovered 500 grams of hashish from his possession.
Sangjani police station arrested the accused Waseem Khan and recovered 138 grams of heroin from his possession.
Industrial Area Police station arrested two suspects Rahmanullah and Faroz Iqbal and recovered two 30 bore pistols from their possession.
Shams Colony police station arrested accused Noman Ali and recovered 20 bottles of liquor from his possession.
Police station Noon arrested accused Asif Khan and recovered 1,110 grams of hashish from his possession.
Coral police station arrested the accused Tahir Khan and recovered 1,860 grams of heroin and one 30-bore pistol from his possession.
Bahara Kahu police station arrested three suspects Yasir Shah, Abdul Qadoos and Asim Shahzad and recovered two 30 bore pistols and 20 liters of liquor from their possession.
Cases were registered against the accused and further investigation was started. Meanwhile, five professional beggars were arrested during a special campaign to arrest professional beggars.
