State institutions should have confidence on rule of law: IHC

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of Islamabad High Court (IHC) has remarked state institutions should have trust on rule of law.
He further remarked state institutions don’t have confidence on courts therefore people are being lifted.
He gave these remarks during hearing of petition filed by Imaan Mazari in IHC regarding recovery of Baloch students Wednesday.
He observed the day this cycle ran reverse then no enforced disappearance will take place. The state does not need to be afraid of any one. Sate has to deal with all. The concept of missing persons prevails in our country. There is no such like thing in other countries.
He further remarked people of agencies will have to be prosecuted. Trial runs for 3 years. State provides protection to institutions. State can do every thing.
Attorney General (AG) Mansoor Awan told the court the petitioner Imaan Mazari provided the list of missing Baloch students. 9 among missing students have been recovered.
Efforts are underway to recover 15 missing students.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani while moving to AG remarked Now 15 students are missing. The top office will have to file affidavit that no enforced disappearance will occur in future.
The AG said federal government has given statement in Supreme Court (SC) that no enforced disappearance will take place now.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani inquired the federal government gave this statement. Then was federal government involved in enforced disappearances.
AG replied federal government has given statement for now and for future.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani further remarked government should have confidence on judicial system. The concept of considering oneself above law should come to end. Today you don’t do any thing. Then the time comes when proceedings will be initiated against the state institutions.
