Workshop for promoting social harmony, conflict resolution organizes for youths, elders in Bara

A non-governmental organization Community Resilience Activity (CRA) North, organized a three-day Social Action Project (SAP) implementation to the youth and elders of Upper Bara of the Speen Darand, Surankhel Killay, Gharey Killay, Sheikh Mali and Malikano Killay on the topic of social cohesion.
The three-day SAP is part of the water channel maturation process approved in collaboration with CRA North and District Administration Khyber at the Upper Bara location in Speen Drand.
CRA North is also working towards the maturity of the irrigation channel to solve the problems of the farmers as well as promoting community harmony, law and order and unity among the local youth and elders.
Dr. Asfandiar Marwat, an official of the organization, enlightened the participants of the three-day SAP on the importance of social harmony, conflict resolution and mutual brotherhood in a simple and understandable manner while group work and presentation were also practiced.
The participants appreciated the training session and said that CRA North had paved about two kilometers long irrigation channel to save our agricultural lands from becoming barren and resolved conflicts between local people and on the other hand SAP terming was very useful.
They said that they had got to know about social harmony, law and order and other important topics including conflict resolution which they would be able to apply in routine practice so as to create a favorable environment to live a peaceful and prosperous life.
