PESHAWAR: Police on Wednesday claimed to have foiled an attempt to smuggle arms and ammunition in a vehicle and arrested an individual. According to a statement, SHO Gulbahar police station Umar Afridi along with in-charge police post Alauddin led the action. The police recovered one each Kalashnikov, rifle, three pistols and 6,000 cartridges of different bores from the vehicle. The arrested person has been identified as Abid who confessed of his crime. A case has been registered against the arrested accused and investigation has been started. Crime Reporter
