Brilliant Squash player Khushal Riaz Khan left for Canada on Thursday to participate in the Canadian Junior Open Squash Championship 2018 commencing from December 8 in Toronto.
Talking to media men before leaving for Canada Coach Wazir Khan his team players – consisting of Khushal Riaz Khan, Bilal Khan and Rashid Daulat will participate in Under-17 category of Canadian Junior Open. He hoped that his team is fully prepared for the event and will win it. He informed that the tournament will begin from December 8 and will continue till December 11.
After participating in Canadian Juniuor Open Squash Championship Khushal Riaz will depart for Boston, the USA to take part in the US Junior Open Squash Championship commencing from December 15 to 18, while the coach Wazir Khan along with Bilal Khan and Rashid Daulat will come back to Pakistan.
Khushal Riaz Khan, a promising student of renowned educational institution Edwardes College Peshawar is presently Pakistan Number 2 in national Squash ranking in Under-17 category. Besides, seeded in top 10 among 64 players competing for Under-17 in Canadian Junior Open Khushal Riaz is in top 20 among the 128 under 17 players participating in the US Junior Open Squash Championship.
Khushal Riaz on this occasion lauded the role of his coaches at PAF Squash Academy, KP Squash Association and Pakistan Squash Federation for providing all out support to Squash players. He thanked the principal Brigadier (retd) Nayyar Firdous and Director Sports of Edwardes College Peshawar Nawabzada Khan for the valuable support and encouraging him.
He said that he is well prepared to challenge his opponents in Squash court by performing up to the mark. He said it is an honour for to represent the country in such important international junior Squash championships.
