Faiq stresses ‘special’ steps to cope with the country’ major challenges

Muhammad Faiq Shah, founder and chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party said the alleged rigged polls had decimated the true spirit of democracy and democratic norms, stating stealing mandate of parties in elections is tantamount to rivalry with people and the country. Responding to various online queries of the general public here on Thursday, Shah said ‘cronies’ and ‘blue-eyed’ people have again come into limelight and distribution of power among them, which is equally tantamount to murder of people hopes and diminishing the true essence of democracy in the country.
He added the ongoing tendency has created division between powerful and weaker segments.
The ATP chief questioned why the nation was made a laughing stock if selection was to be made under the guise of electoral process.
In elections, it’s not merely about winning or losing, but about upholding the rights of the people, he emphasised.
Faiq laid stress on ‘special’ steps to cope with the challenges being faced by the country.
He asserted it is essential to set up a true-public representative government.
The party leader called for a charter of economy between all political forces and stakeholders to steer the country out from the crisis.
He further emphasized upholding merit, rule of law, justice and public authority.
Pakistan and the system should not be endangered, says Shah.
He impressed upon the political parties committed to democracy to continue playing their role in safeguarding democracy and the constitution.
Shah urged all the political forces to toe the ‘special’ line.
“Do your politics, opposition is also a part of politics, but don’t endanger Pakistan and the system.”
He called for jointly combating poverty, unemployment, inflation and other major issues that were being faced by the country.
