PESHAWAR
Muhammad Faiq Shah, founder and chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party emphasized that politics of confrontation and hate must be abrogated and need to work together for a prosperous and better Pakistan.
Shah while chairing a meeting of the party’s think tank, experts and office bearers here on Saturday said politicians and rulers were being faced consequences of present and past their misdeeds as whatever they had sown now are reaping.
The ATP chief said political vengeance is not tolerable for the country and forging unity and national harmony is the dire need of the hour.
He asked politicians and rulers to learn from the past and move forward by setting aside personal political differences and enmity.
Faiq said anti-graft institutions like NAB have always come to use to target political opponents.
He, however, suggested changing NAB with the National Agriculture Bureau.
It is a dilemma of the whole nation that despite being an agricultural country, Pakistan is mostly dependent on import of food items, he added.
The ATP leader demanded an imposing ban of converting cultivable agriculture lands into housing societies.
Shah noted we are ‘begging with bowl’ for 75 years but how long will we sustain the economy through the IMF bailout package and foreign loans?
He asked the government to pay serious attention to agriculture, production, export and trade.
Similarly, he stressed efficient tapping the natural resources for making Pakistan economically self-sustained country.
The party leader once again suggested formation of a joint board of wisdom and honesty [BWH], consisting of all institutions and relevant stakeholders wherein policies viable and long-lasting would be designed with mutual consultation and implemented with true spirit.
He said the joint board is the only panacea of all ills.
Faiq made it clear that the dream of sustainable economic growth and progress cannot be achieved until freeing the country from clutches of foreign financial lenders.
