Two held after video of robbery goes viral in Peshawar

Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two accused involved in snatching from two female madrassa students in the limits of Gulbhar Police Station a few days ago.
CCPO Peshawar Syed Ashfaq Anwar took strict notice of the incident and order arrest of the accused.
A special team comprising ASP Gulbahar Haseeb Ashraf, SHO police station Gulbahar Omar Afridi and investigating officers were formed under the supervision of SP Faqirabad Division Osama Amin Cheema. The police team launched a comprehensive investigation and started strict monitoring of several criminals and suspects, while also obtaining recording of CCTV cameras in different areas.
On the direction of ASP Gulbahar Haseeb Ashraf , SHO Police Station Gulbahar Omar Afridi along with other policemen were present on the blockade on Rang Road near Service Road, while indicating suspicious motorcyclists stopped on a motorcycle.
Those who escaped, while the police also pursued them, the suspects opened fire on the police party to escape the arrest, whose firing was safe from the police party, while a cross -firing injured a passenger.
The arrested suspects were identified as Luqman alias Loki and Kamran alias Kamo, resident of Sheikh Abad and Circular Road.
The arrested accused tried to rob the students on the gun point whose video went viral on social media.
Both the arrested suspects confessed to being involved in the incident during the preliminary investigation.
