PESHAWAR: An meeting was held on Monday with Superintendent of Police (SP) Cantt Waqas Rafiq in the chair to review crime situation. SDPOs and SHOs participated in the meeting. Addressing the occasion, SP Waqas Rafiq gave instructions for bringing down the overall crime rate at the division. SP Cantt said that for the convenience of the citizens and maintaining law and order in the Cantt area, all the energies are being used along with increased police patrols, special blockades. Adopt a comprehensive strategy against the accused involved in street crimes including habitual criminals released from prisons and their facilitators, he said. Waqas Rafiq emphasized the need to conduct targeted search and strike operations for the establishment of peace and strictly directed to take important steps against crimes against life and property and to complete the investigation of serious crimes soon. In order to ensure a comprehensive investigation, it has been directed to obtain micro-level information and collect important evidence, and to establish a coordinated relationship with the eyewitnesses so that the involved elements can be punished by the courts.
