Jhelum land NAB case
ISLAMABAD
Islamabad High Court (IHC) while approving bail after arrest plea of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry NAB case related to Jhelum land has ordered to release him. A division bench of IHC comprising Chief Justice (CJ) Aamer Farooq and justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri took up the case for hearing Monday. Lawyer Qaisar Imam appeared in the court on behalf of Fawad Chaudhry. The counsel for Fawad Chaudhry argued arrest warrants were issued on December 18, 2023. Five allegations have been leveled against Fawad Chaudhry.
Allegation is there that Fawad Chaudhry used his political influence in the project.
Prosecutor Raffeh Maqsood told the court we have witness who says that Fawad Chaudhry took bribe amounting to Rs 50 lac.
CJ IHC Aamer Farooq inquired how case of Rs 50 lac comes under the jurisdiction of NAB.
NAB prosecutor took the plea case is at inquiry stage now. We are ascertaining more details. We have issued letter to all institutions including ECNEC.
Justice Aamer Farooq remarked NAB wrote letter for evidence later and arrested the man earlier. NAB has what central evidence against Fawad Chaudhry.

Fawad Chaudhry is in Adaila jail on judicial remand in NAB case. He had filed bail after arrest plea.
