Faiq urges utmost restraint and de-escalation tension in ME

PESHAWAR: Muhammad Faiq Shah, founder and chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party called for “utmost restraint” following Iran launching retaliatory strikes against Israel in response to its early attack on Iranian consular office in Syria. Shah expressed fear that flames of war, spreading over the entire Middle East will engulf the whole world, according to a statement issued here on Monday. He underlined the necessity of international efforts to prevent expansion of hostilities in the region and for a ceasefire in Gaza. “It is now critically urgent to stabilize the situation and restore peace. We call on all parties to exercise utmost restraint and move towards de-escalation,” Faiq added. The ATP chief urged world organisations, nuclear powers, and Muslim Ummah to play a role and halt Israeli aggression, violation of human rights and war crimes. Our Correspondent
He emphasized that decisions must be made on human rights and humanitarian grounds.
Faiq asked to avoid raging war on Islam and Islamophobia.
He highlighted the role of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkiye and China vital to end conflict in the Middle East.
He added that world war is unaffordable for the region.
The party leader said humanity, society, and economy, everything has been destroyed.
He added billions of people have suffered from hunger and poverty across the globe.
Shah called for maximum restraint after the Iranian massive drones and missiles attacks on Israel in retaliation for last week’s suspected Israeli strike on its consulate in Damascus that killed 13 people.
He stressed the peaceful solution of the Iran-Israeli conflict as adventure will pose a threat to the whole region.
Power only comes with collective efforts and an ultimatum, the ATP chief said.
He said Muslim countries should take unified decisions.
He also asked the OIC and Arab League to take prompt initiatives.
Shah warned no one will gain anything, if the situation would get further worse.
He said cruelty and barbarism has been intensifying on innocent Palestinians, which are already hit by terrorism.
