Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat’s brother Khalid Latif Khan was removed from his portfolio, a notification issued by the provincial administration revealed on Friday.
Mr Khalid Latif was denotified as Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Science & Technology and Information, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is pleased to de-notify Mr Khalid Khan, Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Science & Technology and Information Technology, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” said the notification.
Khalif Latif Khan had won the election from Lakki Marwat as a PTI-backed independent candidate and was inducted in the cabinet of Ali Amin Gandapure as a Special Assistant soon after the formation of the provincial cabinet.
Earlier, reports were circulating that Chief Minister Gandapur had complained to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in Adiala Jail regarding Khalid Latif that he was interfering in various departments while the Chief Minister had also criticized his performance.
On the other hand, differences emerged in the PTI when Khalid Latif Khan Marwart joined the Gandapur’s cabinet.
