DPO emphasizes role of DRC in resolving disputes

District Police Officer Zahoor Babar Afridi of Mardan emphasized the pivotal role of District Reconciliation Counci (DRC) in resolving public disputes and longstanding enmities. He expressed his commitment to enhancing the effectiveness of DRCs and ensuring full cooperation from the police.
During his visit to the DRC City Circle, DPO Zahoor Babar Afridi was welcomed by District Conciliation Council Chairman Ehsan Bacha, Haji Alamzeb Khan, and other members. The meeting, attended by SP City Shafiur Rehman, DSP Circle Ijaz Khan, and other police officers, focused on various issues, including the performance of the council.
Chairman DRC presented a performance report, and members provided suggestions to enhance the council’s effectiveness. DPO Zahoor Babar Afridi commended the establishment and performance of DRCs, emphasizing their significance in Pakhtun culture.
He stressed the importance of sending disputing parties to the conciliation council by mutual consent and resolving conflicts through legal means. Members of the Conciliation Council were urged to play a neutral and fair role in facilitating reconciliation between parties.
DPO Afridi issued instructions to police officers to extend full cooperation to DRCs and take proactive measures to enhance their functionality. He emphasized that active DRCs would contribute to timely conflict resolution, fostering peace and harmony in society.
