Family a financially restricted police officer, who belongs to district Tank of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday appealed to Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz for free treatment of the patient, admitted in Intensive Care Unit of Pakistan Kindney and Institute and Research Center Lahore for the last 27 days.
In a heart-wrenching plea, the family of a destitute police officer Imam Shah Reader of District Police Officer (DPO) Tank has appealed to the Chief Minister of Punjab for urgent medical assistance to treat his severe lungs ailment.
The officer, has been battling a debilitating respiratory condition exacerbated by his impoverished circumstances.
Imam Shah, who has served the community for over two decade, was diagnosed with a critical lungs disease aggravated by prolonged exposure to hazardous environments during his duty.
With meager resources and a family to support, Shah’s condition has deteriorated rapidly, leaving him unable to afford the necessary medical treatment.
His family’s desperate appeal to the Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz underscores the dire situation faced by him who risk his live for the safety and security of others, only to find themselves in dire need when confronted with a medical emergency.

Police officer Imam Shah, who is in the struggle of life and death, has lost the deposit, the police department and the provincial government are also not ready to help in treatment.
The condition of police officer Imam Shah, who is being treated in Lahore, is deteriorating day by day.
According to the family, the savings of the house have been spent on Imam Shah’s treatment, but the hospital has handed over a bill of Rs4 million, while according to the hospital, another Rs3 million may be spent for complete treatment. Now the family is facing severe difficulties in the treatment of Imam Shah. However, the exorbitant cost of treatment remains a significant barrier, prompting them to seek assistance from the highest office in the province. The family expressed hope that the Chief Minister’s office will respond to the appeal, leaving Shah’s loved ones anxiously awaiting a glimmer of hope in their darkest hour.
