KHYBER: A petition has been filed in the Court of Civil Judge against encroachment and poor traffic system in the main Bazaar of Landi Kotal. In the Court of civil Judge Sajjad Ahmad, lawyers Zohaib Khan and Sajjad Hussain have filed a petition stating that due to encroachment traffic jam has become a routine act; however the authorities concerned have turned blind eyes towards it. It has been written that no proper cleaning process has been placed therefore heaps of garbage can be witnessed in the streets of the Bazaar that not only pollute the environment but also omit bad smell, posing a health hazard. In the petation, it has been requested of the Traffic Police, Local Administration and Tehsil Municipal Authority and others to keep in view its jurisdiction play their due role to provide relief to the citizens. It has also asked to ensure smooth flow of traffic by removing all encroachment on the roads in addition to adopt necessary initiatives to clean garbage of the Bazaar. Under the Article 133, case has been registered in the Court of Civil Judge and the Court has issued summons to various officials including Deputy Superintendent Police, Traffic, Khyber, Traffic incharge, Landi Kotal, Assistant Commissioner, Landi Kotal, Tehsil Municipal Officer, Chairman Local Government, President Anjuman-e-Tajeran, Landi Kotal and Station House Officer, Landi Kotal to appear before it on 13 June, 2024.
