CPNE forms committee for Islamabad

ISLAMABAD
The Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE), a body of newspaper editors in Pakistan, has announced the formation of Islamabad Committee for the year 2024-25.
According to a statement issued here, Yahya Khan Sadozai has been named as the chairman of the Committee while Rafi Niazi appointed its deputy chairman.
Other members of the committee constituted for the capital include Kazim Khan, Tahir Farooq, Salman Masood, Shakeel Ahmed Tarabi, Mian Ibrar, Mumtaz Ahmed Sadiq, Rao Khalid Mehmood..
Javed Baloch, Abdul Salam Bath, Tazeen Akhtar, Sajjad Abbasi, Mian Fazal Elahi, Qasur Jameel Rouhani, Aamir Ilyas Rana, Safir Hussain Shah, Khalilur Rahman and Muhammad Ali Zanjani also part of the committee.
The committee is mandated to protect the interests of CPNE member newspapers and magazines working in the federal capital, organize print media activities like functions, workshops and seminars.
The committee will be responsible to assist the Standing Committee in organizing the meetings and functions of CPNE in Islamabad and ensure the execution of other matters assigned by the Secretary General.
Also, the committee aims at highlighting the role and importance of the press.
